  1. To create a standard installation of XSig, you need to do the following:
  2.  
  3. -- copy the "XSig" and "XSigIDX" binaries to a directory on your
  4.    search path (preferably "uubin:")
  5.  
  6. -- copy "XSig.data" to "uulib:"
  7.  
  8. -- edit "uulib:XSig.data"
  9.  
  10. -- create a subdirectory "uulib:XSig"
  11.  
  12. -- copy your cookie file(s) (see file.specs) to "uulib:XSig"
  13.  
  14. -- run XSigIDX on your cookie file(s) to create the index and
  15.    pointer file(s)
  16.  
  17. That's it.
  18.  
  19. Now you can call "XSig GROUP <groupname> NEXTSIG QUIET" to get
  20. a cookie.
  21.  
  22. Use "XSig >>article ..." to append the signature to a posting.
  23.  
  24. Look at the "XSIGEDIT" script. Ideally you just need to set
  25. this as "NEWSEDITOR" in your "uulib:config" file.
